A substrate developed specifically for Monstera.
For more than two years, we tested and refined different formulations between Thailand and France under real growing conditions.
The goal: recreate a particularly airy, coarse and free-draining structure suited to the powerful and aerial root systems of Monstera.
We selected a high proportion of coconut husk chips to create large air spaces throughout the pot, complemented by perlite, clay pebbles, pine bark and biochar.
Each mix is then prepared, quality-checked and packed in our greenhouse near Paris.

How to use the Monstera substrate
Monstera appreciate a coarse, highly aerated mix that allows excess water to drain quickly.
This structure creates plenty of air pockets around the roots while retaining enough moisture between waterings.
For future watering, wait until the first few centimetres of the mix begin to dry. Always adapt frequency to temperature, light, season and pot size.

Wäre Monstera-Substrat für meine Pflanze geeignet?
Die meisten Monstera-Arten und verwandte Pflanzen stammen aus tropischen Regenwäldern, wo sie in leichten, gut durchlüfteten und natürlich durchlässigen Substraten mit hohem Humusgehalt optimal gedeihen. Dieses Substrat ist diesen natürlichen Bedingungen nachempfunden und bildet ein Umfeld nach, das ihrem ursprünglichen Lebensraum möglichst nahekommt. Gleichzeitig eignet es sich perfekt für die Topfkultur und ein gesundes, langfristiges Wachstum.
Wann sollte ich meine Pflanze umtopfen?
- Wurzeln wachsen aus dem Boden des Topfes.
- Ein Substrat, das zwischen den Wassergaben sehr schnell austrocknet.
- Eine Pflanze, die zu schwer oder instabil geworden ist und dazu neigt, umzukippen.
- Wurzeln, die die Pflanze nach oben und aus dem Topf herausdrücken.
- Je nach Wachstum der Pflanze wird ein Umtopfen alle 1 bis 2 Jahre empfohlen.
Wie lange ist das Substrat lagerfähig?
Ein versiegeltes Substrat , das in seinem Originalbeutel trocken und lichtgeschützt gelagert wird, kann 12 bis 18 Monate lang aufbewahrt werden, wobei seine physikalischen und biologischen Eigenschaften erhalten bleiben. Nach dem Öffnen ist das Substrat noch 6 bis 9 Monate voll verwendbar, vorausgesetzt, es wird wieder ordnungsgemäß verschlossen und trocken gelagert.
Ein bereits eingetopftes und bewässertes Substrat bleibt je nach Pflanze, Bewässerungshäufigkeit und Wachstumsbedingungen 9 bis 18 Monate lang wirksam. Danach nehmen Struktur und biologische Aktivität allmählich ab. Um ein optimales Wurzelmilieu zu erhalten, empfiehlt es sich, die Pflanze alle 1 bis 2 Jahre umzutopfen oder das Substrat zu erneuern . 🌿
