Professional Tropical Plant Substrate
🪴 Origin and history of the substrate
This tropical plant substrate was originally developed by Green and White Plants in our Thai nursery to meet the needs of exotic plants that thrive in humid climates. It is inspired by tropical forest soils, rich in organic matter, naturally draining, and perfectly aerated. Thanks to this balanced composition, your rare plants can easily adapt to indoor cultivation.
🔍 Description of the mixture
This tropical plant substrate contains 40% coconut peat , known for its organic richness and its ability to retain water while remaining light.
To ensure professional quality, each material has been sifted and cleaned three times to remove impurities, just like in a demanding nursery.
It incorporates 20% pine bark , ideal for soil aeration and structure, as well as 10% coconut chips to promote moisture and flexibility.
Finally, 10% pumice and 10% perlite ensure optimal drainage. 5% clay pebbles stabilize the mixture, and 5% activated charcoal naturally purifies the water to protect the roots of tropical plants, drawing inspiration from professional nursery techniques.
✅ The benefits for your tropical plants
• Excellent balance between moisture retention and drainage
• Optimal aeration promoting vigorous root growth
